On Saturday 9th March 2019 we held our second Club Open Day at Fornham St. Martin Village Hall on the outskirts of Bury St. Edmunds.
We had a far higher footfall than last years event due to more planning time and better advertising on Facebook, the club's website, railway modelling forums and having an article published in The Bury Flyer magazine (which gets distributed free of charge to residents in Bury St Edmunds).
Lots of club members were in attendance, some of whom showed off their railway modelling skills, including DCC programming of locos, kit building, scratch building and electronic circuit building and repair.
Our N Gauge exhibition layout
Peckston was on display, ably controlled by Stan, Phil, Tony and Bill.
The two Simon's brought along their N Gauge exhibition layout
Foxhollow.
Frank and Barry of the
Cobbolds Wharf team brought along a section of the still under construction S7 layout along with a short section of 0 Gauge test track
A massive thank you to those who attended.
We hope you enjoyed what you saw and your support is much appreciated.
Our next event is our Annual Model Railway Exhibition, which is being held at:
Thurston Sixth
Beyton Campus
Drinkstone Rd
Beyton
