THE BURY ST EDMUNDS MODEL RAILWAY CLUB

Crickey!

As the name may suggest ( 2nd “C” is silent) the inspiration for the layout comes from CRICH Tramway Village, home of the National Tramway Museum.

I wanted a layout on which I could realistically run all my trams, both English and European, in just the same way that Crich runs both.  So the idea was born and the resulting layout is a very loose interpretation of the Crich experience, and what you see is my interpretation of a Preserved Tramway which is why it may not look  “ Lived In “.  This also means both 00 & H0 together, so a slight compromise of sizes/scales occurs.

The Trams are a mixture of motorised Die Cast (Corgi & EFE), motorised kit builds (Tower, Hadleigh), RTR (Roco, Hamo, Kato, Bachmann), RTR re motorised (Liliput).  Place of Origin includes London 5, Blackpool 4, Edinburgh 1, Leeds 1, Lowestoft 1, San Francisco 1, European 3. Japan/Germany 1................Plus anything else that comes to hand.
